Main study of the protestant jurist and politician Theodor Reinkingk (1590-1664). His objective was a biblical theory about the right ruler, and lutherian study on faithfulness to the emperor and imperial state. Reinkingk beleived that the Roman-German state according to the prophecy of the prophet Daniel was the last of four universal monarchies. Reinkingk offered resistance against political secularisation, against Macchiavellism and growing national Law.
